This little light wood carved vintage netsuke, depicted a strange looking animal with long tail of a monkey, short ears like a shishi (foodog), long hide legs and short front legs. The face looks like the face of a smiling dog, his expression is not threatening, rather comical. No artist signature. Eyeball is lighter than rest as if it was bleached.
